What causes cystic acne?
Cystic acne forms when a clogged pore becomes deeply inflamed under the skin. Hormones, excess oil, bacteria, genetics and stress all play a part. It is not caused by poor hygiene, and scrubbing harder usually makes it worse.
Can cystic acne be treated at a skin clinic?
