Pigmentation Treatment in Busan, Korea Laser and brightening plans for sun spots, freckles, melasma and dark marks
Not all dark patches are the same, and the wrong laser can make some of them worse. At JRYN Seomyeon a dermatologist identifies the type of pigment first , then chooses the laser, settings and number of sessions to match.

What is the best treatment for pigmentation?
The best treatment depends on the type of pigmentation. Sun spots and freckles often fade with targeted pico laser spot treatment in one or a few sessions. Melasma and post-acne marks need gentler, repeated low-energy laser toning, as strong treatment can trigger more pigment. Brightening care and strict daily sunscreen support every plan, and pigment can return with sun exposure.
At JRYN Seomyeon, pico toning starts from ₩20,000 per session (PicoCare), with It's Pico at ₩40,000 and PicoWay or Discovery Pico at ₩200,000 . Dr. Kim Ji-young confirms the laser and the number of sessions at consultation.

How much is pigmentation laser treatment at JRYN?
JRYN lists pico toning at ₩20,000 per session with PicoCare, ₩40,000 with It's Pico and ₩200,000 with PicoWay or Discovery Pico. The Whitening Care package is ₩190,000. Your doctor confirms the device and number of sessions.
How many sessions do I need to remove pigmentation?
It depends on the type. Sun spots and freckles may clear in one to a few sessions. Melasma and post-acne marks usually need a course of toning sessions spaced about one to two weeks apart, and maintenance afterwards.
Can laser make pigmentation worse?
It can if the wrong settings are used, especially on melasma or darker skin types, where irritation can trigger more pigment. That is why the doctor diagnoses the pigment first and often uses gentle toning for melasma.
Is there downtime after pigment laser?
Toning has little or no downtime; mild redness fades within hours. Spot treatment usually leaves small dark crusts that lift after about a week. Do not pick them, and use sunscreen.
Will the pigmentation come back?
Sun spots and freckles can return with sun exposure, and melasma tends to recur, especially in summer or with hormonal changes. Daily sunscreen and occasional maintenance sessions help keep results.
Can I get pigmentation treatment on a short trip to Busan?
Yes. Toning fits easily into a short trip. Spot treatment works too, but plan for a week of crusts and avoid the beach or strong sun. Tell the doctor your travel dates.
What is the difference between pigmentation and melasma?
Pigmentation is the general term for darker patches. Melasma is one type, with blurred, symmetrical patches often linked to hormones and sun. It needs a gentler approach than sun spots or freckles.
