Is there downtime after pico laser?
Downtime is low. Expect mild redness for a few hours to a day, and some marks may look darker briefly before they fade. You can usually wear makeup the next day, and sunscreen is essential.
Is pico laser safe for darker skin tones?
Pico laser uses very short pulses with less heat, which is helpful for skin prone to pigmentation. Your doctor still adjusts settings carefully, because too much energy can trigger new pigment in any skin type.
