Radiesse in Busan, Korea A calcium-based filler that lifts contours now and builds collagen over the following months
Radiesse gives structural support the day you are treated, then keeps working as your skin makes new collagen. At JRYN Seomyeon, Dr. Yoon checks whether it suits your area first , because unlike hyaluronic acid filler it cannot simply be dissolved.

What is Radiesse, and how is it different from regular filler?
Radiesse is an injectable filler made of tiny calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a soft gel. The gel gives lift and volume straight away; as it is absorbed, the microspheres act as a scaffold that prompts your skin to produce its own collagen, so firmness keeps improving for months. That makes it a hybrid: part filler, part collagen stimulator. It is thicker than most hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers and is used for structure, such as cheekbones, jawline, chin and the backs of the hands, rather than for lips or delicate under-eye skin.
At JRYN Seomyeon, Radiesse is assessed and injected by Dr. Yoon Jung-wook . It has no fixed listed price, because the number of syringes depends on your areas. Your doctor confirms the plan and total before treatment.
Radiesse at a glance
| What it treats | Flat cheeks, a soft jawline or chin, temple hollowing, deeper smile lines, mild laxity, thin and bony-looking hands |
|---|---|
| How it works | The gel lifts on the day; CaHA microspheres then stimulate new collagen |
| Not used for | Lips and the tear trough , where a soft HA filler is safer and more natural |
| Can it be dissolved? | Not with the enzyme used for HA filler. This is why careful area selection matters. |
| Downtime | Swelling, tenderness or bruising for a few days is common |
| Results | Visible lift on the day, with firmness building over about 2–3 months |
| How long it lasts | Often around 12 months or longer; it varies by area, age and metabolism |
| Price at JRYN | Confirmed at consultation once the areas and syringe count are planned |

Radiesse FAQ
Still have questions? Message us on WhatsApp and we will answer in English.
How much does Radiesse cost in Busan?
JRYN does not publish a fixed Radiesse price, because the total depends on how many syringes your areas need. Dr. Yoon confirms the plan and the full price at consultation, before any injection. For comparison, JRYN lists Sculptra from ₩800,000 per vial and HA volume filler from ₩50,000 per cc.
How long does Radiesse last?
Many people see results for around 12 months or longer, because the collagen it stimulates stays after the gel is absorbed. Areas that move a lot and a faster metabolism can shorten this. Your doctor will suggest when to review.
Can Radiesse be dissolved like hyaluronic acid filler?
No. Hyaluronidase, the enzyme that dissolves HA filler, does not break down Radiesse. That is why it is used for structural areas where it behaves predictably, and why the doctor plans the amount conservatively.
Is Radiesse safe for lips or under the eyes?
It is generally not used in the lips or the tear trough, where the skin is thin and lumps are more likely. A soft hyaluronic acid filler is the usual choice there, and it can be dissolved if needed.
Does Radiesse hurt, and what is the downtime?
Radiesse is usually mixed with a local anesthetic, so most people describe pressure rather than pain. Swelling, tenderness and occasional bruising are common for a few days; most people return to normal activities the next day.
Can Radiesse be used on the hands?
Yes. Radiesse is commonly used to restore volume on the backs of the hands, softening the look of veins and tendons. Expect some swelling of the hands for a few days afterwards.
Radiesse or Sculptra: which should I choose?
Radiesse gives immediate structure and then builds collagen, so it suits defined areas like the jawline or cheekbones. Sculptra works gradually over several sessions and suits broader, overall volume loss. Your doctor can recommend one or a combination.
Can I have Radiesse on a short trip to Busan?
Yes, it is a single visit for most people. Avoid strong pressure, massage and saunas for the first days, and leave a few days before a flight or event in case of swelling. Tell your doctor your travel dates.
