How do I know if my masseter is the problem?
Clench your back teeth and place your fingers at the angle of your jaw. If a firm muscle pushes outwards, the masseter is contributing to the width. If the area stays soft, fat or bone may be the bigger factor, and your doctor will explain other options.
Can masseter Botox help with teeth grinding or clenching?
Relaxing the masseter can reduce the force of clenching, and many people say their jaw feels less tight. It does not repair damaged teeth or treat jaw joint disease, so if you grind at night or have jaw pain, see a dentist as well.
Will it affect chewing or my smile?
