What can contouring fillers change, and what can they not?

How many cc do I need?
It depends on the area and the change you want. A chin tip often needs about 1 cc, while temples or cheeks may need more. The doctor suggests an amount at consultation, and starting conservatively is often wise.
How long do contouring fillers last?
Often about 6 to 18 months, depending on the product, the area and your metabolism. Firmer fillers in the chin and nose tend to last longer than softer fillers.
Can filler slim my face?
Indirectly. A defined chin and smooth temples can make the face look slimmer and more balanced, but filler does not reduce width. For a wide jaw caused by muscle, square-jaw Botox is the usual choice.
Is nose filler safe?
Nose filler is common, but the nose has delicate blood vessels, so it should only be done by an experienced doctor. Tell the doctor about any previous nose surgery. HA filler can be dissolved if needed.
Is there downtime?
Mild swelling, tenderness or small bruises can last a few days. Most people return to normal activities the same day. Avoid pressing on the nose or chin for the first days.
