Sensitive Skin Treatment in Busan, Korea Calm stinging, redness and reactive skin with gentle, doctor-chosen care that does not make things worse
Reactive skin needs a plan that starts gently. At JRYN Seomyeon, a dermatologist checks what is driving the sensitivity first, then suggests calming care such as LDM (₩100,000, 12 minutes) before anything stronger.

How do dermatologists treat sensitive skin?
Sensitive skin is usually a sign of a weakened skin barrier, often combined with redness-prone conditions such as rosacea, eczema or irritation from products. Treatment starts by finding and removing the trigger, then rebuilding the barrier with gentle, low-irritation care. Calming treatments such as LDM ultrasound can help hydration and redness, and vascular lasers such as Vbeam can target persistent redness once the skin is stable.
At JRYN Seomyeon, Dr. Kim Ji-young and the team start conservatively. Listed options include LDM ₩100,000 (12-minute session), the Aqua Peel ₩50,000 (3 steps) for gentle cleansing when suitable, and Vbeam Perfecta ₩200,000 per session for visible redness.

Sensitive Skin FAQ
Still have questions? Message us on WhatsApp and we will answer in English.
What is the best treatment for sensitive skin?
There is no single best treatment. The first step is removing triggers and repairing the barrier, then adding gentle in-clinic care. At JRYN, LDM (₩100,000 for 12 minutes) is a common starting point because it is needle-free and has no downtime.
Can sensitive skin have laser treatment?
Often yes, once the skin is calm and the right laser is chosen. Vascular lasers such as Vbeam Perfecta (₩200,000) and Excel V (₩99,000) target redness rather than the skin surface. Your doctor will decide if and when your skin is ready.
Is sensitive skin the same as rosacea?
Not always. Sensitive skin describes how skin reacts, while rosacea is a specific condition with flushing, redness and sometimes bumps. Many people with rosacea have sensitive skin. A dermatologist can tell them apart. See our rosacea page.
Why does my skin get more sensitive when I travel?
Changes in climate, humidity, water, sun exposure and new products can all weaken the barrier. Long flights also dry the skin. Keep your routine simple while travelling and bring your usual moisturiser.
Is there downtime after sensitive skin treatments?
LDM has no downtime and you can wear makeup straight after. Vascular lasers may leave mild redness for a few hours to a day, and occasionally slight bruising.
How many sessions will I need?
Calming treatments help most as a short course, while redness lasers are usually repeated a few times. Your doctor will suggest a plan that fits the time you have in Busan.
What should I avoid with sensitive skin?
Avoid harsh scrubs, strong acids, fragranced products and over-cleansing. Introduce new actives one at a time. Your doctor can review the products you use.
