What does a carbon peel laser do?
A carbon peel laser starts with a thin layer of liquid carbon spread over the face. The carbon settles into pores and binds to oil. A laser (usually a Q-switched Nd:YAG) then passes over the skin and breaks up the carbon, lifting away oil, dead skin and surface debris with it. The heat also gently stimulates the skin, so it looks clearer, less shiny and brighter afterwards, with pores looking tighter for a while.
